With your permission, RBS Technicians will take control of your RBS Server computer to install and configure your RBS Software and all your plugins. We will install and configure the software you purchase, including your default Client installer. You will be ready to do backups and restores in about an hour.

Our Basic Customization Service includes (among other things) changing the name of the software to your own, adding your own company name to various parts of the program, setting various defaults, and changing some of the text and the behavior of the Client Installer.

The Free Installation service provided with some RBS software packages includes installing the purchased software only. It does not include installing or configuring any of the Prerequisites. The Web Manager and E-Commerce PlugIns are web based, and require the installation and configuration of a web server (Internet Information Server), an SSL certificate, .NET framework, and other Microsoft products.

If you're short on time, our engineers can install and configure Server or Web Plugin prerequisites for you, prior to your software or plugin installation appointment. This includes your SSL Certificate, SQL, ASP.Net, ISS, MS.NET Framework, Firewall or Router Setup, and anything else your software package requires.

Advanced Customization includes all of the Basic Customization features plus creating new icons and graphics for the program from your logo, adding your own End User License Agreement and other more advanced features of the software's installation and operational features. Advanced Customization almost completely changes the RBackup Client software to appear as your own software, all but eliminating Remote Backup Systems' name.

RBackup is the only online backup software that has a built-in Key Escrow system. It can be activated or deactivated by the Service Provider. It is ON by default. This exclusive, highly secure triple-key cryptographic key recovery module allows RBS (and nobody else) to restore a client’s hopelessly lost encryption key. Only RBS can do it, and only with approval from the customer, and only if your customer has not changed his Encryption Key without rebuilding his Key Escrow file. (The software prompts for rebuilding this file whenever the key is changed.)
