SiteShelter keeps detailed logs of its transactions for auditing purposes. The log files are named so that if you like, you can store log files for multiple web sites in the same directory.

The naming convention is like this:

SiteID + YYYYMMDDHHMMSS + .log

SiteID  The Site ID from the SiteConfig file.

YYYY  Year

MM  Month

DD  Day

HH  Hour

MM  Minute

SS  Seconds

Here's an example of a log file name for a backup that was done was done for the "mysite" web site on 3 February, 2005 at 1:00AM + 23 seconds.

mysite20050203010023.log

Log Files Location - The path to the folder for the log files.

Number of Logs - The number of most recent log files to keep online. Older files will be automatically deleted as newer ones are added in a first-in-first-out rotation.

Log Level - Select Failures, Detailed, or Verbose. Failures lists only failures - files that failed to back up. Detailed lists all files that were backed up, files that failed to back up, and files that are deleted during Mirror Mode. Verbose lists everything, including directories scanned, and various messages and events that might assist in debugging. To keep your Email notifications a reasonable size, use Verbose only when diagnosing problems.

View Log - Select the log file you want to view, and press the View Log button.
