Article Number: 100170
Software: RBACKUP Version 8.3
Question: When I created the recovery disk from my client he was using Dialup
network to connect to his ISP. But I want to test at my site to make sure the recovery is
working. How do I test it from my LAN?
You can override the default paramters in a recovery using a file called
OverrideDR.ini. I've included all of the options from which you can create a file.
Place OverrideDR.ini into the Client Folder and then invoke Disaster Recovery as
usual, a message will be presented asking if you wish to USE the override file.
Here's the basic file layout, cut and paste the contents between the ==== lines as
"OverrideDR.INI"

;"OverrideDR.ini" Use T/F for True/False

FireWallType= Override firewall info

OverrideSet= Uses the extension to identify other than that last catalog file on
the server. For example, if the most recent backup's extension was 01E, but for some
reasoin you wanted to go back, you could specify the earlier extension here.
Disaster Recovery by default recovers the most recent catalog file on the server which
will include all backups up to present.
